SUMMARY
Our special commitment is in the understanding of the whole family system. This means that our treatment approach directs the adolescent, parents, and family members to look at how an identified disorder has affected all areas of their lives and relationships. We provide an immediate alternative for the adolescent, in an environment which is healthy, challenging, confrontive yet supportive without fragmenting the family unit!
The combination of medical, social, educational, clinical, and milieu therapeutic interventions facilitates the re-emergence of the parent(s) as "family executives" and provides the adolescent a creative alternative in the new problem solving family unit. The supportive and instructional interventions are designed to help return the adolescent to the family, the school, and the community. The process of adolescent development and differentiation is family focused and we address this as a family issue.
